Bangor, ME -- September 1, 2017 -- Manager Miss Camille (left) and Parker Dresser, one third owner, head down a staircase of the new Dutton House Inn. The building that housed Bangor's poor, Beal College and Manna Ministries recently opened as the Dutton House Inn. The brick building at 629 Main Street in Bangor was purchased by the city in 1827 to serve as an almshouse to house the poor, sick, inmates, and even those thought to be insane. Dutton Properties bought the building for $390,000 last fall after Machias Savings Bank foreclosed on its former owner, Manna Ministries.
