BANGOR, Maine -- 06/01/2017 - Antoinne "Prince" Bethea, 40, of New Haven, Connecticut, makes his first appearance at the Penobscot Judicial Center in Bangor Thursday. Bethea is accused of slaying his girlfriend's husband on Easter in what may have been a custody dispute. Bethea was arrested May 21 outside Cleveland. He was wanted for murder in the shooting death of Terrance Durel Sr., 36, of New Orleans, on April 16 outside the home the suspect shared with Durel's estranged wife. Bethea was a passenger in a car stopped Sunday, May 21, in Euclid, Ohio, which is about 15 miles northeast of Cleveland on Lake Erie. He waived extradition two days later. Ashley L. Conti | BDN
