Vassalboro, ME — May 4, 2017 — Dex, a Dutch-German shepherd mix set to become Belfast Police Department’s first police dog since 1989, leaps from an obstacle in an agility course at the Maine State Police K-9 Unit training center in Vassalboro. Belfast police officer Travis Spencer and Dex are one of six K-9 teams in the intense 14-week training program and scheduled to graduate in June.
