Earl Ireland of Ireland Farms inspects three acres of peas on his Lincoln farm on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. "I wish I didn't have the flower garden to go with the crop", Ireland said of the mustard weeds which have overtaken much of his vegetable crops. Due to the extremely wet conditions, Ireland, like farmers throughout Maine, have not been able to spray against weeds and pests. "Some dry weather would help", said Ireland. "We got the water, all we need is the sun." (Bangor Daily News/Kate Collins)
