BANGOR, Maine -- 05/11/2017 - Pieces by New York-based artist Jason Bard Yarmosky wait to be hung at the University of Maine Museum of Art in Bangor Thursday. Yarmosky's show features large, realistic paintings of his elderly grandmother, who is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The exhibit will hang May 19 - September 2 and includes a panel discussion on Alzheimer's and the creative process, a series of lunchtime talks on caregiving and two hands-on creative workshops.
