HERMON, MAINE -- 06/23/2016 - A dog searches pits of dirt dug in the front of a Hermon home on New Boston Road Thursday for the remains of a Bangor woman missing since 1980. The Bangor Police DepartmentÕs Criminal Investigation Division, Maine State Police and Penobscot SheriffÕs Deputies were at the scene searching for any evidence related to the disappearance of Sharon Smith, who was reported missing Sept. 4, 1980.
