Bangor, ME -- June 15, 2016 -- WWII veteran Galen Cole, 90, hugs Emma Drummond, Nan Langhorne, and Laura Long (left to right), nieces of William Golladay, who died in WWII. Golladay was killed on April 2, 1945 at the age of 19 after the half-track that he and Cole were riding in was hit by a German 88mm shell, killing 5 of the 13 soldiers and injuring the other 8. Cole has been trying for years to locate family members of his deceased brothers-in-arms and it has finally happened. "I've been waiting for 71 years for this," said Cole. The nieces drove from North Carolina and Virginia to meet Galen Cole.
