Brewer, ME -- April 4, 2016 -- Gov. Paul LePage high fives third-grader Tyler Alexander as he exits the performing arts center after signing LD 1609 into law at the Brewer Community School Monday morning. The bill, which made the American lobster the official crustacean of Maine, was lobbied for in Augusta by the third-grade class at the Brewer Community School last month.
