Old Town, ME — December 9, 2016 — Kirk Francis, Chief of the Penobscot Indian Nation, held a press conference on Indian Island Friday afternoon and praised the new water quality standards issued by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that will protect the tribe’s sustenance fishing rights.
