Bangor, ME — March 24, 2017 — Nongnud “Nud” Simmons, 52, of Thailand, waves to her family and friends after she was sworn in as an American citizen Friday morning at the Federal Building. U.S. Magistrate Judge John Nivison presided over the naturalization ceremony where twenty-seven people from twenty-one different countries took the Oath of Allegiance.
