BANGOR, Maine -- 03/17/2017 -- Troy Howard Middle School's Adrian Doyne-Dafmas (second from left), 13, and St. Paul the Apostle's Samantha Siemerling, (second from right), 13, test out a virtual reality simulator during the Maine Science Festival's Friday Field Trip Day at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor Friday. Middle schools students, from schools and those who are home-schooled, were invited to a day of programming: workshops, forums, hands-on activities, and a show by Peer-Reviewed rapper Baba Brinkma.
