Katie Cox Sino (center), 20, and her mother, Ellen Cox (right), of Bangor, were the first customers in line Thursday morning for The Coffee Pot's last day of business. They arrived with their chairs and blankets at 6:45 a.m. Together they bought 29 sandwiches for family members. The Coxes are sad to see the landmark sandwich shop leave. "I've been eating Coffee Pots since I started chewing at 2," Sino said, laughing. "And so did my daughter." Thursday was Skip Rist's last day before closing the nearly 80-year-old business. Hundreds stood in a line that stretched from the shop on STate Street, down Boyle Street and along York Street. (BANGOR DAILY NEWS PHOTO BY LINDA COAN O'KRESIK)
